Divine Fury

A Collaborative Project

Divine Fury is a pixel RPG developed using GameMaker Studio 2. It was created as part of a collaborative project in 2020. Despite the lockdown, my partner worked on the character animations while I worked on the programming aspect. 

You play as Zeus, leader of the Gods, who must find his way out of Tartarus after losing the battle against the Titans.

During the development of Divine Fury, I did encounter a game breaking issue with the hitboxes which I could not seem to fix despite going back over tutorials and asking my tutors. Under a short timeframe, I restarted the development of Divine Fury which helped me learn what I had done wrong and how I could improve the gameplay. Once completed, Divine Fury earned me the Journey of Success award.

Here are many of the pixel character designs and animations which I created using Piskel. The goal I had for these character designs were to make the Gods seem defeated and match their backstories whereas the Titans are muscular and powerful.
